World to a Wolf
The above video, is a fine example of what I plan for my Intent. Not just the matter of typical society and how it has many flaws that everyone stays completely oblivious to, but just topical matter in general. Game design going down the drain? Talk about it and how it can be improved. Some idiot attempting to pass a bill that worsens life for others? Verbally assault him with the flaws that this has and why it is the dumbest thing he can do. Tabloids?…. Do I even have to say anything about the tabloids? Point being, creating a sort of avatar to be able to relay all the logical and rational thoughts that are in my mind so that it can spark some conversation amongst people and so they can, hopefully, have intelligible conversations with each other instead of “lulz wtf m8, teh hel?” Or some neanderthal-ish obliteration of the english language like that.
Instead of Foamy’s crass, crude, and straight forward logical reasoning though, I would offer statements that are food for thought, ones that don’t explicitly tell people what is wrong, but more so offer the problem and make people think about a solution. Sort of a philosophical animated vlog type deal. Where Foamy’s pleasantries come from the appearance of him being a squirrel, knowing that we see them everywhere and that they see what we as humans do, the pleasantness I plan to bring is sort of like Frasier Crane from well Frasier. Intelligent sounding voice, calm and collective when on the air, and offering some insight to those who may need it. While maintaining the brutal honesty and bluntness without 100% explicitly telling about what the problem is. It is said flat out, but no solution will be offered.
Instead of a squirrel, however, I would end up using an anthropomorphic wolf as an avatar, as I have been since I discovered the internet was a thing back in middle school. Animated and answering questions, talking about touchy or sensitive material in a relaxed way to hopefully enlighten those around, and even entertain with both witty humor and just crude cartoonish humor. I’ve been watching Foamy for a long time and I can tell that a lot of what is said is sadly true, especially paralleling what is said with reality and noting how eerily similar it is. Something must be done to educate the masses and support the push for higher common sense and/or intelligence. Essentially just a series of animated vlogs that get people to think this: Why is this a problem and what can be done?
Budget: $0-1,000 for a decent drawing tablet for animations and story boards for animating the frames. Though this is optional, I can make due with a mouse and pixel art animations.
Could possibly take about a full week for being able to create using basic editing software.
