Approach 2—AndrewG
BACKGROUND
Sometimes when an individual is having “one of those days”, the last thing they would want is to be in a stressful environment. This app is a visual aid to represent how the surrounding world affects an individual’s emotional wellness. The picture of the map with the colored sections is my own recording of my emotions based on locations across campus.
EXPLANATION
The point of this app is to let people visualize how your environment influences your emotions. Users have the option to record their emotions with this app by drawing a colored bubble in a location where that emotion was felt, users would then be prompted to explain what circumstances caused that emotion. With enough information gathered, a user could visualize what specific places cause certain emotions, and choose whether or not they want to go to a potentially stressful place. The app would use google maps satellite view for recording and allow the user to record location, time of day, and weather conditions under a single emotion recording. Using the gathered information, users can do a 24-hour time lapse and watch how the time of day can change a happy location to a stressful location.
