Approach 2b -Eric W
Background:
Have you looked at a picture of yourself and thought I have changed a lot. What if you were able to see a day by day picture slideshow of what you looked like in the day. That is the thought behind my project to allow the user of this plugin to see how they have to change under their conditions. This will allow them to see what they looked like and maybe strike a memory of something that happened that day. This will also allow the user to reflect on themselves over this time and maybe they will see what they look like and want to make a change about what they see in this virtual mirror. This is completely a reflection tool for the user I had no intention of making this public unless the user wanted to export that video file of the pictures and share it with their friends.
Explanation:
How this will work is the user will have a simple setup period in the beginning of their reflection period. During this setup period the user will dictate the how long they want the pictures to be taken whether that be a few weeks or a few months. This whole setup period is within the calendar app on their computer. The photos that are taken are stored locally on the hard drive. The user at the end of the period will look at the photos in the folder and see what they see in themselves.
Inspiration:
My inspiration is partly from jenny cam. It is a little different that she had herself live on the internet 24/7. But she was able to look back and see what she really look like and how she acted. Well, this project takes a page from that and puts it in a photo form.
Budget:
The cost for his project will be very low monterey wise. The plugin will be developed in automator and the event will be triggered in the calendar app within the macbook. The only cost would be of time of setting the workflow for the app. Also, setting the time frame for the calendar app to take the pictures and have it repeat over some time.
I was able to test this on my own where I took the photos myself and I confirmed that you forget about it on some days and it takes away from the end results. I also have to dictate where to save the picture which I don’t think should be too difficult.
