The Guard Whales:
In moving forward with this project directly above is the home page for our channel. From the home page you can check out our featured video for the channel, click on videos to see everything that we’ve done/uploaded to YouTube, you can go to playlists if you want to check out full series of playthroughs or odds and ends, and more. Future plans for the channel mostly include doing more playthroughs of some of our favorite games, competing with/against each other to achieve victory in multiplayer games, and just having fun while trying to give the viewer an enjoyable time. Most of the content, if not all, will be video game related and i realize that may not be for everyone and that’s ok. The meaning for this channel is for the five of us guys to share our enjoyment of games with others on the internet, while showing those who we really are by expressing our selves in the best way that we know, which is gaming. To conclude, we are continuing to make videos for the channel with the goal in mind that each video will be better than the last with technical upgrades (like better mikes and being able to see everyone’s screen in multiplayer games) and overall adjusting to making videos and providing commentary for those to listen to. As time goes on, the more natural it will feel for everyone.
Also, listed below is a different video that is taken from one of our full playthroughs of a game, so that you can get a taste of how a normal video will look and sound like. This one is the start to our Super Mario Odyssey playthrough which features Brandon and I (Tanner).
Budget:
Overall the budget hasn’t really changed as the pricing is pretty accurate to what is required.
Recording Equipment (including El Gato Gaming Capture Card and microphone) would cost at least $425
Each video takes about an hour to and hour and a half to edit, so that would be $20 – $50 depending on what type of video it is. To give an example, videos with a lot of edits would cost more while videos with less edits would cost less.
Recording videos would take about one to two hours.
