Autobotography Approach 2 – MatthewB
For the short film Cloud, I already have the script written (attached on my intent post) so the only thing before actually filming and editing a film is to create some basic graphics and perhaps a movie poster for it!
This poster I wanted to convey a world that is driven by technology and media. I think I did well, blending my own photos with other concept pieces. This allowed me to further drive the style I want this film to have.
This film is about our interpersonal selves as well as the thought of Artificial Intelligence being as aware as a human, and how we will get to that point. I aim to do this by using a sci-fi feeling to a low budget film, all while making it seem to be in this world that I depict in my mind.
The budget for the film is as follows:
Canon Camera Body – 1000$
Canon Lenses / Tripods / Mics – 2500$
Editing Rig and Storage – 1400$
Adobe CC License – 20$
In total a rough estimate to buy everything would be right around 5000$

The book I was mentioning:

written by Dmitri Orlov, a Russian who lived through the collapse of the USSR and writes about the current state of the US now.
His blog is also interesting:

And John Michael Greer’s blog is also provocative:
