Autobotography approach Jacob

Background

This project may not seem autobiographical at first glance since it is about characters I have invented and not me, but in way it is about me. The characters I invent are like an extension of myself, and the way they are designed sometimes reflect my personality.

Explanation

This project will be a website that archives numerous characters I have invented. It will also feature a random character generator. This will throw together random traits like interests, occupation and weapon of choice. This can be used to create new and unusual characters for stories or art projects.

Credit

Some inspiration came from this website.

I found it one day and discovered that I enjoyed reading about these different dragons that someone invented, even if there was no story attached to them. I thought that it would be fun to one day do something like that with my own inventions.

Budget

Timewise, the website itself shouldn’t take any more than a week to make. The time spent making the site will be the bare minimum budget. The pictures I will use have already been made, but if I wanted to make more, they can take anywhere from an hour to ten hours to make. I use the adobe suite to make a lot of these pictures which costs $30 a month. A domain name and web hosting costs roughly $60 a year, but the project will start out on a webhost that has been provided for me by the school. Ultimately the budget depends on how much work I want to put into it and how long I want to keep it up.
