Summary
The medIa project would be an analysis of the media I’ve consumed, what they mean to me, and how they’ve affected me.
Description
All too often we find ourselves consuming media mindlessly. We’ll watch T.V. to pass the time, we leave a movie on while we go to sleep, we play a video game and thoughtlessly complete objectives without consideration of what we’re really doing.
Thousands of hours of professional work has gone into the development of this media, but we consume it with little regard. They’re stories, crafted by real, human people, and we can unpack those stories to discover things about ourselves.
This project could have many different formats- written essays or blog posts, an audio podcast, or video essays and vlogs. All of these would work, but I see it being most effective in a video form, where I can display the media as I speak on it.
Timeline
Without having made one of these videos, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly how long it would take, but between writing the initial script, recording the audio, finding the pertinent video clips, and editing it all together, I would estimate the total time it would take to make a video at 15-20 hours.
At this rate, while attending school and working a job, I would likely produce one video every 2 weeks.

Audacity software: $0
Adobe Creative Suite: $50/month
Time cost: $9.00/hour x 18 hours = $162/2 weeks

Concept
1. I think using videos as a method of analysis on media that you have seen is a good method and can bring a whole new concept to using another self.
2.The new media strategy used here is a one to many method with the video being broadcasted to many people to get their opinions on it.
3. An issue with this project would be the amount of time for the videos to made and their might be a way to make it easier.
4. What is interesting about this intent is that ti gives a new way for someone to make a new self using videos to reflect on media they have seen give their thoughts about it.
Design
1.The design appears to be clear but maybe a mockup of a video with your thoughts would give a person a clearer view on what you want your project to be.
2.I think that people will be engaged with this project because it could contain media their familiar with and they can share their thoughts on it as well.
Technical
1.The medium appears to be well thought and goes well with the idea of doing an analysis on different types of media.
2. The project wouldn’t appear to have a lot of cost because it requires one of software and the amount of hours it would take to film it which could adjusted to better the cost somehow.
Audience
1. The audience that would best fit with this project would be those that have seen the media shown and can relate to it as well.
2. The appeal would be to people who have experienced the media show and have their own thoughts on the matter.
Creativity
1. This person’s passion comes from how he wants people to see the media he witness and want them to know his opinion on it in a new and creative way.
2. I like this new idea because it brings a new way to comment on different types of media and what can be improved on it.
