I propose an idea to create an app that is surrounded around capturing and sharing the sound around you in its raw form.

Most social media apps today are geared towards people’s visual perception. Granted when we use our phones or computers to view them we are looking at a screen, but I think we are also ignoring another important aspect of human senses when using these apps. Every device we use to view apps also has speakers and microphone. It is easier than ever to capture some form of audio around you at every minute of the day.

When using current social media apps, your attention is fixed only on that app. It would be interesting to create a social app that you can put down while still using it. I propose an idea to create an app that is surrounded around capturing and sharing the sound around you in its raw form. Using audio as its main form of communication you have the ability to focus on others things in your life, such as work, cooking, or anything else you would do while listening to music or a podcast, all while still interacting with people from around the world. This app would give us the ability to quickly experience the world of sound around us at all times.

I imagine this app to give you the power to send a direct audio message or post to a public feed that connects you across the world. You would also be able to add a picture if you like, but it would be a secondary focus to how to app looks and works.
