EcoArt Approach- AndreaJ

I remember freshmen year me and my friends loved exploring the campus and walking random paths but we never knew if we would find anything worth the walk. We were new to campus and wanted to see the different sights around UMaine.

So my app could benefit UMaine students. Someone walking around UMaine can take pictures around campus and go on the app and click their current location and post the picture they took in that location and it would show up as a location point on the map and if you click on the location marker you can view the image taken in that area.

I think UMaine students would appreciate this, based on all the friends I’ve made most of them stayed in Maine or came to Maine for the nature aspect of the state.

And the idea behind this app could also be to raise awareness. Maybe theres a spot on campus thats completely trashed and a mess. If someone took a picture of that area and posted it on the app and other people saw it then maybe it would get peoples attention and cause people to create a group to clean up the area and make it beautiful again.

Another cool aspect to the app could be the ability to comment on photos that have been posted. Maybe thats how people come together to clean up a messy part of campus or maybe people can talk to each other about directions or maybe people will make new friends. The possibilities are endless.

The budget would consist of $1.99 to purchase the app because photography shouldn’t be free. People that are dedicated and love the environment would enjoy having this app to view other peoples images.
