EcoArt Intent- Andrea J
I want to create an app that can track where people take pictures.
I remember freshmen year me and my friends loved exploring the campus and walking random paths but we never knew if we would find anything worth the walk. So for example my app could benefit UMaine students. Someone walking around UMaine can take pictures around campus and go on the app and click their current location and post the picture they took in that location and it would show up as a location point on the map and if you click on the location marker you can view the image taken in that area.
The budget would consist of $1.99 to purchase the app because photography shouldn’t be free. People that are dedicated and love the environment would enjoy having this app to view other peoples images.

Concept:
The idea of an app that tracks where people take pictures sounds like a many-to-many idea to me, seeing how anyone can share the location where they took a photo. It’s hard to think of a major issue that the project engages, but I think this is an interesting concept. Granted, there are already apps where you can share the location where you took a photo(like Instagram among others), but those other apps aren’t really specifically geared to that feature, and don’t really rely on location sharing in order for those apps to be used. Since the main focus of this app is with location sharing, I think that makes the idea behind the app more interesting.
Design:
The most I can see from this design is the logo for the app, and there’s really no example of what the interface for this app would look like.
Technical:
The tech being used here is that a smartphone would be used to use this app. I think the app would be affordable for just about anybody with a smartphone. $2 for a photography app is a pretty decent deal the way I see it.
Audience:
It sounds to me like the intended audience is for people that are into photography and people that like to go exploring. The project is geared towards people interested in photography in that it tells them where the location of any photo was taken, so that if they’re interested in finding new locations to take pictures, they can give themselves a good idea of where they would want to go looking and where they wouldn’t, and it’s geared to people that like to go exploring for similar reasons. They can look at where photographs were taken, and if they can judge their interest in whether or not they want to go check the place out judging by their impression of the photo representing that place.
Creativity:
I can definitely tell that the idea stems from a passion, and I like how the idea of the app is to solve the problem of letting other people that like to explore know where there is something at a certain spot and where there isn’t, and I think using photography is the best way to let people know about that because it gives them visual evidence.
Concept:
I think this is a really cool idea. My friends and I used to do the same thing and want to explore about the campus, so this would be cool to document surroundings while exploring wherever you go.
Design:
Your design gives us a good idea about what it is. I like how you created the look of the app, I think the audience gets a better idea about what this app does though our visuals you provided.
Technical:
I am interested on how the technical part of this project is going to come all together. Its mostly going to be an app base, but you would have to connect the camera and location is it as well.
Audience:
The audience for this project would mostly be anyone I believe. Wherever a person is that can document there experiences. It would be cool to see how this app would work around the world when people go on vacations and stuff.
Creativity:
I think this is a very creative idea. I love taking pictures so this would be very helpful for me and I believe I would use this app all the time.
