Hacktivism Intent – DanielA
Well, factually…
A fact-checking infographic publishing service.
So, thinking about the two ideas we came up with last week, I realized that both of them alone are rather boring and, frankly, a little too easy. A better approach, I believe would be to create infographics based on reporting the facts of controversial issues in the news. The infographics are a type of compact, easy to follow flow chart that social media users are accustomed to– e.g. the Oatmeal’s weekly posts.
This would be beneficial to social media users who get the majority their news from memes and reposts on Facebook. Users would be engaged by the infographics and informed on the facts of the issue– citing statistical data and cross referenced sources. Creating one, comprehensive infographic could take up to 50 hours, based on past experience doing research projects.
