An issue that we see each day is cyberbullying and the many people it can affect in a short time. Social media has grown larger in recent years and continues to grow to new heights. People can say almost anything they want to online and there opinions are known to many people who view different comments each day. We can also leave ourselves open to people whose opinion differs from our own. That person can use social media to slander us or make us feel like we don’t belong. The internet is a powerful thing but it can be used to hurt us just as much as it helps us.
There are a few strategies that could help us with cyberbully on ways to avoid it and making it known to people who are unaware of it. One strategy that can be used it is the one to many method which can be used when I want to communicate with a group of people who are new to social media and make them aware of the risk they take by posting or making comments online. There is a strategy of talking one on one with people who have experienced cyberbullying and allowing them to share their experiences with the world so the people know what could happen to them if their not careful. One last strategy would be the many to many method where you could have an entire channel on a website with each persons own experience with cyberbullying and the difficult journey they had to endure because of it leaving their life completely changed.
The reason for my use of these strategies is because I believe that they would have the most impact on our society. People don’t know as much about cyberbullying as they should and with these strategies they would know who has been through it and the difficulty it caused them afterward. We would know what to avoid and give us warning signs incase we are in danger of being a part of it. The only way for someone to understand the issue is for them to hear or see someones story with their own eyes.

Because i believe in the innate compassion of most people, I think telling true stores of the effects of violence or bullying on us could be very effective, so I like : each persons own experience with cyberbullying and the difficult journey they had to endure because of it leaving their life completely changed.
Where would you put such stories? would each web community have a cyberbully stories section?
