One problem in this culture is how few people vote. Only about 60% of the voting population voted in the last election. One idea is giving people some virtual benefit to voting. Pokemon Go, for example, could award people who register to vote with some sort of rare pokemon. Another way is just to get people to think about it on a daily basis. News broadcasts and social media already do this to an extent, but implementing it into a game or commonly used app can bring it one step further. Clash of clans, for example, I something that millions of people log into every day. If this game brought up voting in some casual way, it will get people to think about it on a subconscious level. My final idea is just getting people to pay attention. One way to do this would be to implement little news snippets into something that people look at every day. A game can do this, but a more effective method would be something like google. Even something as small as text scrolling at the bottom of a screen will at least make it easy to look at.
These methods use a playful outlet to address a serious issue. A game doesn’t provide anything besides entertainment, but entertainment attracts people, making an exceptional medium for this task. The tactic isn’t serious, but the goal is.

Game ideas is interesting, but what about giving people more choices? Trump?clinton wasn’t much of a choice?
the main solution to this is to get $$$ out of politics, so could a game do that?
Could a game help other kinds of candidates win? what if presidential candidates had to play a solve the nations problems game simulation with citizens watching? then we could see how they perform?
