We discussed new ways by thinking about New Media strategies and went over New Media projects from other students. When I first watched that video on hacking it caught my interest right away. Back then, hacking was such a common thing that nobody knew how to stop it. Today we tend to have more security but at the same time we have more advance technology that hackers can work with.\u00a0 Once we started to explore projects that people have created I started to think that these projects provide a point to shape our world in a better way. I then started to think about ways I could develop my project into something that would benefit my own life but other peoples as well.<\/p>\n<p>For my Hacktivism Intent I decided to focus my attention on helping out the University in a beneficial way. I decided that I would create a website that would benefit the students and staff at the University Of Maine. The website would be based on photos people took around campus and students, staff, and other residents of the University Of Maine would be able to comment thoughts about changes we could make to the University to make it better. Such as more parking, more eating places, new fields a stop light at the University entrees etc. This will help provide safety to the University and provide thoughts and feelings on how to make this University better.<\/p>\n<p>I made a quick website already on WordPress to show examples on how my idea would work. The budget for this project would depend on the University and what people think needs fixing on campus.
