(i.e. concept)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pollution is bad. Carbon Dioxide is part of pollution. How do we absorb more Carbon Dioxide.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Why are these important questions\/issues?<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Because excessive pollution and the buildup of greenhouse gases are one of the leading global concerns in the 21st century. Excessive pollution could endanger human life or if it reaches a critical point planetary existence. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How does the projects address the questions\/issues? In their words, what does the project add to human culture? How does it contribute to human meaning? community? Ecosystems?<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The team of biologists have identified certain enzymes that, if fiddled with, greatly increase the plant\u2019s CO2 consumption. \u00a0Their experiments have shown an increase from 5 to 10 molecules per second to upwards of 80 molecules per second. The hope for the project is that if this is effective, we could make forests and city greenery more effective in the effort to combat climate change.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Which ecological issues does the project raise\/solve?<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It seeks to solve one of the largest contributing problems to global pollution. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Does the project respond superficially (it just raises the issue for us to think about) vs deeply (it pushes us to engage with the issue and\/or take action).<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project is ongoing research with manipulating these enzymes in the hope of slowing, if not reversing, climate change, so I would say it responds to the problem of climate change in a deep manner.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What design decisions were used to support the project intention? Does the design fit the concept<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seeing as the concept of the project was to make plants more effective in consuming CO2, and that is what the group is developing, I would say that the design fits the concept.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What kind of technology does the project use?
